I know its been a while since I have written..Sorry about that. Not much has been going on though. Just keeping the girls and volleyball..We placed 3rd in our region play and now we are going to sectionals to determine who will playing in the final four! We are hosting that so I am excited to watch the teams that will be moving on. Anyways, the girls are good. We carved out pumpkin tonight. Christa got to actually help and she knew what was going on this year. Last year when we did she was only 7months old. It was real exciting to watch her.
She started drawing on one side while Charlemagne drew the face on the other. After we cut the top off they cleaned it out. Charlemagne does not put his hand in it so Christa wouldn't either. They cheated and got a spoon to do it. That used to be the most exciting part, putting your hand in and feeling it all slimy and stuff. But Christa finally started playing with the seeds and that was about all the touching she was going to do. I couldn't get a good picture of her with the pumpkin when we got done because she wasn't interested. So I did the best I could. I have added some pictures of her during this exciting time in her life:)
Helping Daddy draw the face

Helping clean out the pumpkin

After Charlemagne got the stuff out of the pumpkin, she picked the seeds out

This is what Brea did the whole time

I don't know if you can see but her face lit up when we put the candle in the pumpkin...

Growing so fast!!

Well I hope this finds everyone doing well...Brea and Christa are keeping me busy..I thought I would like this staying at home thing but I think I would rather be at work...! I am just grateful that I get to watch them grow day by day and do the most craziest things known to man!

I am still trying to potty train Christa but it has not been very successful at it. She is throwing fits now and is jealous every time I sit to feed Brea. She wants to grab my hand and pull me somewhere away from her sis. As you know, or my not, we have her sleeping in a big bed now that is in the guest bedroom. She has now found out how to climb out of her bed, open the door, climb on our couch that is at the end of our bed and into our bed. Charlemagne will wake some mornings and find both girls in bed with us...(nice little family of 4) I'm just so glad we got a king bed...I couldn't imagine us doing this with the little full size we had...lol...That would have been a sight to see..

Christa also knows how to drink out of a regular glass. I usually give her one when she eats lunch or supper. She knows how to drink and pour it out on her tray when she doesn't want anymore...God help her..(or me:)

Brea is starting to hold her head up really well...She is also making loud sounds. She made one sound so loud and long one day, Charlemagne thought it was Christa...She is now such a happy baby...I changed bottles on her and I think that helped on her colic I thought she had...We took her to her 2 month check up last week and the doc said she was "perfect" (that's his words he always uses to let us know everything is good). She weighed 14 lbs. She is the same as Christa was at this age except she is 2lbs heavier. The doc said to make sure I don't feed her over 30 oz. Which I feed her between 30 and 36...So I really have to watch that now..I can't help it she's always hungry:)lol..Last night she finally slept through the night..We put her down about 10 and had to wake her at 7..I had to go and check on her..It kind of scared me she was sleeping that long..So hopefully I will start to get my rest...(cross your fingers:)..

I have one more bed time story to tell before I close this blog out...Brea was waking from her nap today so me and Christa went in her room. Christa was climbing on the rails to look at Brea. I left the room for a sec to get something and then come back...Christa was in the crib trying to wake Brea up...It was to funny and the look on her face was priceless....She was just smiling away...

Everything else is good here...I have a couple more weeks of volleyball then I and the girls will be going to spend a week in Montgomery with my sis in law and her new little addition. I am sooo excited about that trip..That is also the week Basketball season starts up...We will be even more busy with that...So until next time....take care:)

Road Trip continues....

Ok..So now we are at my mom and dad's house in Lynchburg, TN..We had fun but busy. We arrived that evening and layed around. When we were fixing supper that night my mom got the sour cream out of the fridge and layed it on the counter..Should of known long legs reached up and got it. The result of the incident is shown below:)

She had it on the floor and cabinets..She was also rubbing it on her arms like it was lotion..It was tooo funny!!!
That next morning (Sat.) we got up and went to Scottsboro, AL. Most people are like Whoa! All the way to Alabama, but it was only an hour away..Not very far. We got to see my friend Erica's baby, Aly Grace...We stayed with my Aunt Bonita and got to see my cousins Heather and Nickie..They got to see Brea for the first time...Also, the next day got to see my Aunt Judy...
While we were there we received a new stroller which was a hand-me-down from my cousin Jimmey...Its real nice and the girls love it..THANKS JIMMEY!!!

We headed back to TN to spend some time with my dad and then headed back home on Monday (Oct. 6) just in time for me to go to volleyball practice...We had a great time seeing family! Nap time

Well Christa was trying me today. I couldn't help but laugh but couldn't do it in front of her. I was trying to put her down for a nap. She usually goes to sleep on her own, but not today. I put her down in the bed and, the first of many times, went to go and check on her. I crack open the door and she is laying in her bed with no diaper on. She has been doing that lately..She has pee in the bed once doing that at night. So I smacked her little bottom and put the diaper back on her (trying to potty train but not working yet). I left and cracked the door. I went downstairs to start cleaning and heard her playing with her toys in another room (2nd time she's up). Went upstairs and put her back in bed then left again (stupid me, with the door cracked). I hear her for the 3rd time and went to check on her. She was in our room playing. By this point all I had to do was giver her that look and she went right back to her bed. Well I left again and CLOSED the door. I hear her again playing..I left her there for a min then went to put her back in bed..this went on for about 4 more times with spankings in between. She has finally cried herself to sleep 1 hour later...

I thought it was so funny how she was consistent at what she was doing. She wanted to play, not nap. As a parent I really didn't care what she did but I have to keep her in that routine with napping at the same time and let her know that she can't do what she wants to, she has to go by the rules. It was so hard for me to tell her to take a nap. I wanted to laugh because it was funny. Anyways, I thought I would share this story with you. So until next time:) Take care!!

(This picture was taken after she finally went to sleep. Such an

Angel! You just gotta love her:)

~Being the oldest Sister~

OK...Well having two kids 18 months apart is hard so far but has its good moments to. Christa has just started to cry every time Brea cries. Its like they feed off of each other. Needless to say, they have tested mine and Charlemagne's nerves! Lately, Christa has started to cry and scream every time she don't get her way..I don't know if she is about to hit her "terrible two's" or what but she is not going to be a happy camper if she keeps it up..!;) Brea, on the other hand, cries all of the time! I don't know if it colic or what but I am definitely going to talk w/ the doc when we go back for her 2 month check up. She has been sleeping in the bassinet beside our bed but tonight I am going to start putting her in the crib in the baby room. This will hopefully give us a break from all the little noises she makes when she sleeps.

Although things sounds rough, when I watch Christa play (when she's not crying) and watch Brea sleep (when she's not crying), I think how wonderful I have it..A great husband, two loving daughters and great family and friends that back us up..Life really couldn't be any better! Watching the girls grow up is so amazing to me.
Everyday I think Christa says (or tries) to say a new word..I am trying to potty train her also. She knows when she is wet or goes #2 but doesn't tell us before she goes. She just touches her diaper or says "poopy" and brings us a clean diaper. She does know when she has to go #2 before she does it in her diaper though. She will come up to me or Charlemagne and say "poopy". So we go and put her on the pot..She has not yet went though. I guess its just a matter of time before she does...I am so ready for that day to come!! (ANY SUGGESTIONS TO HELP ME IN THIS AREA ARE WELCOME:)
Brea is the same...Cry, eat, sleep, and poop..and starting to be awake more during the day..When I hold her and stare she smiles so much...And starting to hold her head up really well...

Well anyways, its 12:40 am and I am trying to get this paper done...Usually this is the only time I get quiet so I can do my school work...So until next time...Thanks for listening to me complain and appriciate things that I have...

~Mothers~

This is to funny (and true). I just had to post this incase anyone hasn't read it....

I think it goes without saying that it takes a very special person to be a Mother. Being a parent changes everything. But being a parent also changes with each baby. Here are some of the ways having a second and third child is different from having the first.

Your Clothes
1st baby: You begin wearing maternity clothes as soon as your doctorconfirms your pregnancy.

2nd baby: You wear your regular clothes for as long as possible.

3rd baby: Your maternity clothes ARE your regular clothes.

Their Clothes
1st baby: You pre-wash your newborn’s clothes, color-coordinate them, and fold them neatly in the baby’s little bureau.

2nd baby: You check to make sure that the clothesare clean and discard only the ones with the darkest stains.

3rd baby: Boys can wear pink, can’t they?

Worries
1st baby: At the first sign of distress--a whimper, a frown--you pickup the baby.

2nd baby: You pick the baby up when her wails threaten to wake yourfirstborn.

3rd baby: You teach your 3-year-old how to rewind the mechanical swing.

Diapering
1st baby: You change your baby’s diapers every hour, whether they need it or not.

2nd baby: You change their diaper every 2 to 3 hours, if needed.

3rd baby: You try to change their diaper before others start tocomplain about the smell or you see it sagging to their knees.

At home
1st baby: You spend a good bit of every day just gazing at the baby.

2nd baby: You spend a bit of every day watching to be sure your olderchild isn’t squeezing, poking, or hitting the baby.

3rd baby: You spend a little bit of every day hiding from the children.
