I know it's been a while...

This is a picture of Christa and Brea when we went to Montgomery.

I know, I know! We have been doing so much since we have gotten back from Montgomery. Since it was raining and Brea is asleep I thought I would catch up on some things. As you may not know, I am helping Charlemagne with track this year. We were supposed to have a meet today but since it is raining we canceled it. This gives me more time to do my school work. I have to get it done before this weekend. We are going to stay in ATL for the weekend (all of us). I have to be in North Atl at 8 Saturday morning to take the Arizona Education Proficiency Exam (AEPA). Yes..If I pass I will be certified to teach in AZ..haha..And you are probably wondering why I am getting it in AZ..Well I'm going through the Univ. of Phoenix-online to get my Masters so I have to take their test first and when I get a job I will have to change it over to GA. I have one more class to take and I am supposed to student teach in the fall (that's why I'm taking the test) but I want to get a job instead of student teach. This one income is for the birds:) haha..

Another thing I have been doing is going to the gym 4 days a week...I have got to loose this baby weight. I have been going for about 4 or 5 weeks now. I don't see any results on the scale yet but I sure do feel better and am seeing it in my clothes and getting comments on how I have lost weight.

Anyway, enough about me....

As I posted in my last blog I painted Christa's room..Here are some pictures of that...

Oh and one quick story about what she did last night. She has been getting into our bed in the middle of the night for a while. We sometimes do not know because we have a king size bed and I'm a hard sleeper. We decided we are not going to let her sleep in our bed again. Before long Brea will be in there to..Last night was the 2nd night she did not..but she tried. I woke up this morning and went into her room. I found some of her snack in bed and her sippy cup. I then walked down stairs and saw she had gotten her step stool (which was up stairs by the way) and took it down stairs. She had it next to the stove with some of her snacks on the floor and next to the side of the counter. Who knows what this girl does when we are asleep..She really worries me because she can now unlock the dead bolts and lock on the door...Speaking of knowing how to do that..she has locked me out of the house before..

In other words, she really keeps us busy..I'll tell you that much

Brea...on the other hand...is moving around herself. She can now crawl and pull herself to standing...She has gotten two teeth in also..She has been real fussy the past couple of days and has really worked my nerves!! She is also eating vegitables and fruit. I have also given her a teething cookie and those little puffs which disolve in your mouth..She seems to like anything you give her! Well there probably is more that I can write about what's going on with the girls, but I will be here all night..and Christa is ready to eat and its time for her nap so I will save some more for later...Until next time...Take care!

Just One of those Lazy days...

I know it has been a while since I posted last. There really hasn't been much going on. Brea is crawling all over the place and Christa is just being herself. Charlemagne is out of school this week for intercession so he has been home too. The only thing new is that I painted Christa's room. We painted it pink and tan..It really looks good! I am going to have to take pictures with my camera and post them.
We are in Montgomery right now just visiting Charlemagne's family. We haven't been doing anything while we have been here just sitting around. I have been trying to do some school work. I think this teacher I have for this class just gives us busy work. We have to look up a total of 70 resources in all (as a team, with 4 members in a team). Let me just tell you, there are only a limited amount of resources until they start to all say the same thing. It is crazy and I am so ready to get this assignment over with! Well I just wanted to stop by and post a little something. I need to go get Brea now.She's trying to put something in her mouth and only God knows what it is:) So until next time!!

Before I was a Mom...

Before I was a Mom, I never tripped over toys or forgot words to a lullaby. I didn't worry whether or not my plants were poisonous. I never thought about immunizations.

Before I was a Mom, I had never been puked on. Pooped on. Chewed on. Peed on. I had complete control of my mind and my thoughts. I slept all night.

Before I was a Mom, I never held down a screaming child so doctors could do tests. Or give shots. I never looked into teary eyes and cried. sI never got gloriously happy over a simple grin. I never sat up late hours at night watching a baby sleep.

Before I was a Mom, I never held a sleeping baby just because I didn't want to put her/him down. I never felt my heart break into a million pieces when I couldn't stop the hurt. I never knew that something so small could affect my life so much. I never knew that I could love someone so much. I never knew I would love being a Mom.

Before I was a Mom , I didn't know the feeling of having my heart outside my body. I didn't know how special it could feel to feed a hungry baby. I didn't know that bond between a mother and her child. I didn't know that something so small could make me feel so important and happy.

Before I was a Mom, I had never gotten up in the middle of the night every 10 minutes to make sure all was okay. I had never known the warmth, the joy, the love, the heartache, the wonderment or the satisfaction of being a Mom. I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much,

before I was a Mom.

Let it Snow, Let it Snow

Yesterday we went to church. As soon as we got home it started to snow. Later we got to take Christa outside to play. She was so excited. Brea was asleep so Charlemagne came with us. He was throwing snowballs at me and Christa was right behind me watching him. He threw a snowball and hit Christa right in the face...It was toooo funny...But she didn't think so. She cried and did not want to go outside anymore. We left her in the house and went back outside while she watched through the window. He eventually got me right in the chest with one. We had a blast. When we came back in we cooked our supper.

While we was eating our power went out. The time 5:30pm. We layed around the rest of the day. As dark came we got the candles out and I cleaned house (I mean there was nothing else to do:)haha. We got the girls and fell asleep by the fire along with 5 blankets on us. We slept off and on during the night. When we finally got up this morning there was still no power! We left and went to eat at the Waffle House and got back and a neighbor said it just came on. The time 10:30 am!! 17 hours with out power! The temperature got to 51 degrees downstairs and 45 up....I took some pictures of all the snow. This was all from yesterday and a couple from today. We are now nice and warm in the house...Now I am ready for Spring!!!

I love taking pictures of different things. Sometimes I would love to be a photographer..I have also add some pictures I thought was pretty! I took these with just a regular camera...Who knows what I could do with a real good camera:)
