Christa is turning 2!!

I can't believe it! My baby girls is growing up! It has been an amazing two years with her. Watching her learn new things everyday just wows me! Christa came into this world on Feb. 7th 2007. I started to go into labor right after I got home from a basketball game (and yes they did lose:)lol..I didn't know what I was feeling so I called my neighbor Heather (because she had already been through this with Brooks a month earlier) to see what contractions felt like. I called my mom and the doctor. I ended up going to the hospital at about 2 in the morning and had Christa the next day about 4:48 pm.

This is Christa when she was pulling up on things.

It was fun to watch her during her first year. First a bottle, then rice, then baby food, and now adult food. And boy does she have an appitite!! Holloring "Eat, Eat" when she gets hungry.

Also during her first year, watching her lay around, then sit up, then crawl, and the amazing first steps! Now we can't stop her from climbing on the couch, chairs, desks, and early in the morning feeling her climb into our bed with her doll and a book saying "watch" and pointing at the tv. The first thing she wants to do in the morning while I am still trying to wake up is watch the Polar Express. Watching her know every little thing to that movie is crazy!!

Here are a couple of pictures from her first birthday. Look how much she has grown!

She is now becoming a little lady wanting to put deoderant on in the morning and say "teeth" to brush her teeth. She also loves her jewerly and shoes. She walks around the house with just her church shoes on and a diaper.

Watching her with her sister is also funny. She wants to be involved in everything! She tries to change her diaper and when she rolls over she taps her bottom to get her to roll back over. When she don't want Brea to touch what she has she taps her hand and says "Mine". That is one word I wish she didn't say!!

Christa and her little sis, Brea
Oh! and the amazing prayer she has just learned in the past couple of weeks. When we sit down at the table she wants to grab mine and Charlemange's hands so we can say Grace. And at the end she even says "amen"..of course not that plain.

So another year has gone by and I'm starting to plan her birthday party. Stay tuned for a blog about that!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABY GIRL!!! WE LOVE YOU!!

Just a couple of pics...

Just thought I would share a couple of pics I took with my phone the past two days..

Brea is sitting up!! I can't believe it!! She of course falls a little after, but she is getting better. She is also getting on all fours trying to crawl..This is a real good picture of her (I think..)
Then you have our crazy one of the house. I thought she was being awful quiet so I checked on her. Found her sitting in the floor marking all over her face and arms...Check her out!!
And what's funny about it, she was sitting right beside me...I was sitting at the computer and she wanted to "daw" (draw). So I gave her some paper and she got some dry erase markers. Well I was so wrapped up in getting my student teaching letter together I looked down and there she was....But you gotta love her...
Oh!!! I have to tell you this one...!
Every night we put Christa to bed..Well she stays and goes to sleep but by the time we go to bed she usually wakes up. Last night we were laying in bed and Christa kept coming in there trying to get in bed with us. Well after a couple of failed attempts she came in there (which was the last time). I looked down from the bed and she had her baby doll in hand and looking up at me with the saddest face!! She was even pouting her lip...So cute and hilarious!!! I couldn't do anything but laugh and get Charlemagne to look at her..While I was laughing and he was smiling while getting on to her she had the most serious look on her face (still with the lip pouting). It was so funny!!!! It's one of them moments you just had to of been there to get the whole feeling....

Life after the holidays

Well the holidays have come and gone. It was good to see family and have Charlemagne around the house again but it is also good to be back on our normal schedule. Before the holidays came around I started to get Christa and Brea on a good schedule. It didn't last when school got out. They made their own. Everyday was different, they took a nap late and went to bed later than they used to. Now that family is gone and Charlemagne is back in school they have been back on their schedule and amazingly been doing it without a fight. All I have to say is "its nap time" or "night night time" and Christa will just walk up the stairs and go to bed. It has been wonderful!!!

Today we went to see Christa's old babysitter, Susan. It was good to see her and the family. I didn't know if Christa would remember her or Leah or John but she knew where she was as soon as she saw Leah. It is so amazing how much she remembered while she stayed at their house. She was such an amazing sitter and I wish she could continue to keep Christa and Brea.

Brea is growing up so fast!! She is sitting up now! Of course she falls after a while but I can't believe it. Today she got up on all fours. She still hasn't mastered how to move her hands or her knees to crawl but she will very shortly. I have also started her on cereal about a month ago. It has been a struggle to get her to keep it in her mouth. Christa took cereal so quickly but Brea wants to spit it out with her tongue. I think I get more on her bib then I get down her throat.

There are a couple of videos of Christa I wanted to share.

This one is of her dancing to her music. Like I said in my last post, she loves to dance but didn't at the gym. She got this little radio for Christmas and it plays music and you can stick it on the refrigerator. She loves it! As you can tell....

This one is when she was sitting on the potty. I have tried to get her to pee in it but she won't. Well I tried to give her water while she sat on it this time thinking she would go since she hasn't been all morning long! Well she didn't pee but she found out how to poot in the toilet..She thought it was hilarious!! and I did to...You can see it on her face then when she did she would start laughing.

They are two funny little girls and I am so happy to have them in my life!!!

Our Half Time Show

Yes I'm talked about Christa. We were at the Hoops in Overdrive High School Shoot-out @ Kennesaw State yesterday watching our boys and girls play. We stayed all day because Charlemagne helped put the tournament on. During the half time of the girls game, we let Christa get on the floor in front of everyone. She usually dances when she hears music but this time she froze. The MC even gave her the mic and tried to start dancing with her. I have never seen her stand so still in her life. I was really crying because I was laughing so hard. I have a video of it. It was toooo funny!!

She stood there for about a min just staring at everyone in the stands then just dropped the mic and started crying, but she didn't go anywhere. Charlemagne had to go and get her from the middle of the floor. I hope we didn't scar her for life...:) haha

After he held her a min she got right back out there. This time she was walking all over the floor waiting for one of us to chase after her. Someone rolled her the ball and she just watched it roll past her not going for it. Then someone else rolled the ball back and she watched it roll past her again, not moving a muscle. It was to funny.
